My coffee poems for you and my take on "How to be a become a better poet"
I love coffee and I love writing poems about it. I would love to have coffee with you, but since that ist not possible at the moment I have compiled my favorite coffee poems in this file. Enjoy!
Following my friend Ellen Rowland’s @rowland.ellen advice (her Poetry Workshop Writing Beyond Your Comfort Zone is just wonderful) I have written an Afterpoem
How to become a better poet after Ash Raymond James @ashraymondjames read more poetry stop skipping poems in books join a poetry community (thank you @hellokoo.co and @tellherco) find your poet tribe (you know who you are) read Austin Kleon „Steal like an artist“ start stealing like an artist drink coffee feel like an imposter join a poetry workshop go to a museum go to museums a lot go on walks write about something hard feel better when you write it kill the imposter syndrome get an old typewriter stop buying greeting cards, send poems say yes if a poet friend wants your help (thank you @theweesparrowpoetrypress) learn new tools to share poetry take photos all the time to write poems about them notice things everywhere get a voice coach to work on your delivery try something new just so you can write about it (ice bathing, thank you @byraha) keep doing it because you wrote poems about it (ice bathing) say yes if someone says they will publish your poem (thank you @iamauthorishita @kimbrakephotography @theweesparrowpoetrypress) respond to as many prompts as you can do not share every poem you write keep your drafts (thank you @rowland.ellen) do many things outside your comfort zone keep going
