Cold Water Poems
by Mirjam Mahler
On January 23, 2022 I tried cold water swimming / ice bathing for the first time. I found it most unpleasant but was also intrigued and came back many many times since. I felt that my poem „Winter Lake“ deserved to be published. After several rejections I decided to publish it myself in my first cold water themed collection published in January 2024. Today I went for a dip in the coldest body of water I could find.

word then two followed by three now write four words word
I have made wonderful poet friends through the @elfchenlovers community. The talented Tammy Muehlfelder @thebohemianreview invited me to join her in an elfchen book project and I'm happy that 21 of my elfchen poems have found a home in Weaving Magic with Eleven - A Poetic Anthology, where words and emotions are weaved together in elfchen poems paired with captivating photos.
